Fall… my favorite time of year! Here in Texas, it finally means a break from the heat without the rain of Spring. Granted, where we live the heat still lasts well through October, it does eventually calm down a little for November. We were still in the high 90’s a few days ago. So most of us here are still wearing shorts everyday or pretending that its cooler, rocking the fall clothes and sweating the entire time.

So many of my favorite things come along with fall. Cozy blankets, beautiful weather, autumn colors, delicious warm drinks, Thanksgiving… ahhh I love it all! As much as I enjoy Summer, I’m always so excited for Fall to make it’s entrance.

Here’s a round-up of a few of my fall favorites this year.

My favorite candle:

Bath & Body Works Pumpkin Cupcake Candle

Bath and Body Works Pumpkin Cupcake Candle

Seriously, the smell from this candle is so delicious. I really enjoy the Bath & Body Works line of three wick candles. They burn evenly and the smells are always the right amount of strong. They don’t get too over powering. This specific candle has a hint of pumpkin spice undertone with a buttercream frosting sweet smell. Let’s just say, it’ll give you the cravings for a cupcake pretty quickly!

My favorite makeup item:

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer

Urban Decay Naked Weightless Concealer

Okay, I know. This concealer is a little on the pricey side, but it is so worth it in my opinion. A little goes a long way, and it covers flawlessly. Not only that, but it stays and lasts all day long. Under eye darkness runs in my family on my dad’s side and I was a lucky one to get that trait. No matter what amount of sleep I get, there are still dark circles under my eyes. Now if I have any lack of sleep or I’m sick, its amplified even worse. I’ve tried so many different concealers and none of them ever felt like they were meeting the bill. They either were too orange, too thick, sat on top of the skin instead of blending, or only lasted a few hours. I had seen so many raves about this, so I finally made the plunge and decided to try it out. Holy moly, so glad I did! Holy grail concealer for me.

My favorite fall drink:

Starbucks Toasted Graham Latte

Starbucks Toasted Graham Latte

Now, let me first start by saying that the Skinny Vanilla Latte with two extra pumps is my jam. When I say I’m craving coffee, that is specifically what I’m craving. It’s been my go to for years, but I have to say, this one is a very close second. Everyone is all about the Pumpkin Spice Lattes during fall and I’m just… not. For some reason, I just don’t really like them that much. Sure, they sound delicious, but I’m always sorely disappointed when I try one. Now, Starbucks had to outdo themselves and come out with the Toasted Graham Latte. Oh goodness, it’s delicious. Talk about yum! It’s the perfect ratio of sweet without overpowering the espresso flavor. I would say if you aren’t into the PSL either, try one of these next time you go. Hopefully, you’ll be pleasantly surprised like I was.

My favorite fall clothing item:

Maurice’s Paisley BKL Wedge

Booties

I wasn’t shopping for shoes. I was shopping for a top to wear for our anniversary pictures we do every year. I had looked in what felt like every single store in the city. I finally decided to try Maurices. There isn’t one even remotely close to my house, but I looked online and saw a few I might like so figured it was worth the drive. I saw these booties when I was in there and just couldn’t keep walking. I had to try them. They’re comfy, worked perfect for our anniversary shoot, and are the best neutral color.

My favorite fall food:

Panera Bread’s Mac & Cheese

Panera Mac & Cheese

I know. It’s not necessarily a “fall themed” food and yes, it’s around year round. I just specifically like it more in the fall and it is currently a go to comfort food for me. I love mac & cheese. All kinds, all flavors, all types. Whether it is stove top, oven baked, homemade, boxed… doesn’t matter. I love it. I’ll eat it. I do have favorites though. Next to my own homemade, my favorite would have to be Panera Bread’s mac & cheese. Man, that stuff is so cheesy and good, I just can’t pass it up!

My favorite fall movie:

Hocus Pocus

Hocus Pocus

Really, was there any question? I’m pretty sure it qualifies as a fall favorite for most of the country, but for me it truly is. It brings back this nostalgic feeling from my childhood. I just can’t get past it! I absolutely love Hocus Pocus. I watch it every October. Granted, I’ll watch it year round any other time, but I always have to watch it in October before Halloween. It just isn’t Halloween time without the Sanderson sisters!

My favorite fall TV show:

How to Get Away with Murder

How To Get Away With Murder

Oh, Shonda Rhymes and Viola Davis, you slay me! How to Get Away with Murder exceeded all of my expectations last season when it came out. I was literally counting down the days until it was coming back on! I love Viola Davis in every role she plays, so I didn’t expect to be disappointed. She went so beyond my expectations and totally rocks this role. I get so into the parts and the mystery. I love all of the foreshadowing they include and the total diversity of all of the roles. From Annalise who is this vicious, alpha female with a soft side that rarely shows, to Frank, your no-holds-barred assistant to Annalise who will do anything for him, but clearly has a rough past. Frank’s role, with his pretty boy appearance, but tough as nails attitude just totally totally rocks this show. Even to innocent, sweetheart type of Michaela and the frat boy stereotype, Asher. It makes for the perfect well rounded cast. The storylines… oh the storylines. I love them all! I hope this one sticks around as long as Grey’s Anatomy has because we all know I can’t stop watching that one either!
