Classic Beef Stew

This Old Fashioned Hearty Beef Stew is a traditional style stew made on the stovetop with tender beef, carrots, potatoes, herbs, and spices.

You'll need chuck roast, flour, pepper, oil, onion, carrots, garlic, tomato paste, wine, stock, potatoes, bay leaves, herbs de Provence, Worcestershire, thyme, and salt.

Coat the beef pieces in seasoned flour and shake off the excess.

Sear the beef on all sides with oil in a dutch oven.

Caramelize the onion, carrots, and garlic. Add the tomato paste to cook.

Deglaze with wine and let it reduce down.

Add the remaining ingredients and cover. Let it simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
