Lay the bacon flat in a single layer on the parchment paper.

Notes
While some use a rack to cook bacon in the oven, I find that it isn't necessary. The bacon is equally as crispy without it and it's less hassle and fewer dishes. Sometimes the bacon can also stick to the rack which is frustrating.
