substitutions/alterations
- Salmon – if you want to substitute the salmon for another cut of fish, I’d recommend using halibut or cod.
- Jalapenos – if you want a spicier dish, you can substitute the jalapeno for serrano peppers.
- Honey – I don’t recommend substituting the honey in this recipe.
- Lime – While lime will give you the best flavor, you could replace the lime with lemon or orange juice.
- Garlic – be sure to use a whole garlic clove instead of garlic powder.
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil – you can replace the extra virgin olive oil with avocado oil.
How to serve Honey Jalapeno Lime Salmon
- If you like a spicy kick and want to take it up a notch, you can pair it with Jalapeno Lime Rice.
- It goes great in tacos and over salads as well.
- I love serving it with Mango Avocado Salsa and jasmine rice.
How to Store Salmon with Jalapeño
You can store cooked salmon in an airtight container up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
How to Reheat Oven Baked Salmon
I do not recommend reheating salmon in the microwave. Not only will it stink up your house and microwave for a while, it will drastically overcook it.
I recommend placing it on a sheet pan and reheating it in a 275°F oven.
