Why I love Ranch Burgers

These grilled Cheesy Ranch Burgers are simple to make and only take 4 ingredients. They make the perfect weeknight meal. Not only are they easy to make, but they are also packed with flavor and low in calories.

You don’t have to worry about having a bunch of different seasonings on hand. The addition of ranch dressing mix replaces having to use several different seasonings and adds a ton of flavor.

The shredded Monterey jack cheese in each patty means you don’t have to add extra cheese on top. It keeps your burger nice and juicy so you don’t end up with a dry patty.

Ranch Burgers Recipe Tips, Tricks, and FAQs

  • Be sure to use nonstick spray on your grill. It will prevent the patties from sticking and falling apart.
Can I use ground turkey in place of ground beef?

Ground turkey works very well in this recipe. I recommend not using 99% fat-free because it may result in a dry burger.

How do you keep your burgers from falling apart?

To keep burgers from falling apart, be sure that the mix isn’t too wet. When the mixture is too wet, it will fall apart.

substitutions and alterations

  • ground beef – ground turkey and ground chicken are excellent substitutes for ground beef. They both pair really well with the ranch mix.
  • ranch dressing mix – I do not recommend replacing this mix. You can use generic brand, but I would suggest only using ranch style.
  • shredded monterey jack cheese – sharp cheddar cheese is also really great, but you can use any shredded cheese you like.
  • pretzel buns – I find that pretzel buns have the best flavor with these burgers, but any style of hamburger bun works well.

How to Store Ranch Burgers

You can refrigerate or freeze these burgers. Place the fully cooked burgers (without the bun) in an airtight container.

They are good in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and the freezer for up to 6 months.

How to Reheat Ranch Burgers with Cheese

I recommend reheating them in the oven or microwave. If reheating in the microwave, cover with a moist paper towel to prevent them from drying out.
